(ABC 6 News) - Rochester area dealers and Hyundai Hope on Wheels presented a quarter million dollar grant Friday morning to Mayo Clinic.
The money specifically given to the Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital for research into Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which is a common childhood cancer.
The Hope on Wheels group says one of the reasons for the $250,000 dollar donation, is that Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma is one of the least funded areas of cancer research. Mayo officials agree, saying only a small percentage of money donated to cancer research is specifically donated towards pediatric cancer research.
