Pawlenty Takes New Job, Leaves Republican Campaign

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty is leaving his job as national co-chairman of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, and taking a job lobbying for Wall Street.

Advisor Brian McClung says Pawlenty will serve as chief executive of The Financial Services Roundtable, a Wall Street lobbying group. Pawlenty is also ruling out any run for U.S. Senate or governor in 2014.

Pawlenty had been mentioned as a possible candidate to take on Democratic Sen. Al Franken. Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton is also up for re-election in two years.
