Officials ask for Public's Help in Fatal Crash

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Olmsted County deputies are still trying to determine the cause of a crash that claimed the life of Byron teenager Deej Logan.

They're reaching out to the public looking for any information to help them in their investigation.

Investigators say the bus that Logan ran into had a surveillance camera inside.

Looking at the footage they saw a maroon/red SUV pull up to the accident six seconds after it happened.

They're hoping to reach the driver of that vehicle, because he or she might have seen something leading up to the crash.

They're trying to determine if speed, distractions, medical problems or anything else may have been a factor in the accident.

Knowing those factors might help them figure out exactly why the accident happened.

"There are so many causes that could happen. Whether it's one single factor or multiple factors happening at the same time to cause the accident,” Olmsted County Detective Lee Rossman explains.

Investigators are also reaching out to anyone else who may have been on County Road 5 before or during the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the lead investigator on the case at 507-328-6754.
