Mason City Police Look for Missing 14-year-old

(ABC 6 News) - The Mason City Police are looking for a missing 14-year-old.

Police say Garret Joyner was last known to be at home around 8am on July 3rd. They say Joyner also missed baseball practice yesterday as well. It is believed he left on his own and is driving a white 2003 Pontiac Bonneville. The license plate number is 448JKX.

Mason City Police Captain Mike McKelvey says Joyner has now been out of contact with his family for 24 hours and that they're very concerned.

"This is totally out of character for Joyner. Besides his car, all of Joyner's personal items are still at home, so there's no indication that he intentionally ran away," says Captain McKelvey.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Joyner or the vehicle in question, please contact the Mason City Police Department, or your local Law Enforcement Agency.
