Kenny King
Kenny joined the ABC 6 News Good Morning team in December 2011. He grew up in Minnesota, and is excited to be able to get to know the southeastern part of the state.
Kenny was born in a Chicago suburb, but his family moved to Willmar, Minnesota when he was four years old. After graduating from Willmar High School, Kenny went to Northwestern College in St. Paul where he majored in Broadcasting and Electronic Media. During college, Kenny was broadcasting on the campus television and radio stations; he also had internships at KING-TV in Seattle, Washington and at KARE-11 in Minneapolis.
After college graduation, Kenny got a job as a reporter at KSAX-TV in Alexandria, Minnesota. After a few months of reporting and fill-in anchoring, he began anchoring the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts full time.
When Kenny's not working, he enjoys running, traveling, eating, writing, watching television series and movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Fun facts: Kenny ran his first ever marathon in the fall 2011, and plans on running more. Kenny has a twin brother, Danny, who lives in Roseville, Minnesota. Kenny is the fourth generation "Kenny" in the King family.
