(ABC 6 News) - More than 20 years after a Rochester woman went missing, authorities say they have new information about what might have happened to her and they've searched a specific piece of land within the last 48 hours.

Linda Anger, who went missing in May of 1993, lived in the area of Salem Corners, just outside of Rochester. This is the same area Olmsted County Sheriff's Deputies were on Tuesday, following up on some new information.

Authorities are not releasing what that new information is. But we do know that Linda was allegedly last seen at Rochester's Old City Call. Her ex-husband claims he dropped her off for an appointment. However, police have never been able to confirm that. Her ex-husband was a person of interest, but has since passed away.

Still, authorities believe there was some sort of foul play and they're still hoping to solve the case. We talked to Sheriff David Mueller about the recent search of Salem Corners.

"From a law enforcement standpoint, these are the most serious cases. From our side, we believe when a person is gone for this long of a period of time, bad things could occurred," said Sheriff Mueller.

The Sheriff says they did not find anything during the search, but are not giving up.
