(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The St. Ansgar Saints have to replace their two leading rushers from a year ago, but surprise, surprise, they have someone to step up and fill the void.
It's up to Jake Krahenbuhl to carry the rock, and just to prove he's worthy, he added 25 pounds of muscle during the offseason.
"I expect to go out and play classic, smash-mouth football," Krahenbuhl said.
Head coach Drew Clevenger thinks this year's team could be better than the 2013 version.
"If you go five running backs deep, you feel pretty good about it," Clevenger said.
St. Ansgar opens the season at Newman Catholic Aug. 29.
