MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota health officials are planning an open house to address concerns about a deadly outbreak of Ebola in West Africa.

Up to 200 people are expected to attend the meeting Wednesday night in Brooklyn Center.

Minneapolis suburbs are home to thousands of people with ties to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ghana, the three countries most severely affected by the African outbreak. A 40-year-old Minnesota man who was a Liberian government official, Patrick Sawyer of Brooklyn Park, died of Ebola on July 25 while flying from Liberia to Nigeria.

The state Health Department says the risk of Ebola being spread in Minnesota is "very low." The department points out that no cases of Ebola have occurred in the U.S.
