(ABC 6 News) -- With the growing use of synthetic drugs, the Minnesota Department of Human Services is now using a website aimed at stopping the trend.
“Parents, educators and others have turned to us. ‘Where do we go for objective information?’ This is intended to be the place,” said Lucinda Jesson of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
The Department of Human Services held a news conference in Duluth today, to announce the launch of the new website.
“Those concerned individuals that need to be aware of what’s going on, what an incredible tool for them to help these people out,” said Tom Truszinski of MN Adult & Teen Challenge.
“In southeastern Minnesota, the synthetic drug usage has just skyrocketed. The way we are going to stop the drug epidemic is through awareness and prevention.”
