According to Rochester Police, 46-year-old Demetrious Deal has been charged with 3rd degree murder in a heroin overdose case.

Deal is accused of selling heroin to 39-year-old Nicholas Miner.

Miner was found in his southeast Rochester home, where Gold Cross paramedics tried to revive him but were unsuccessful.

With help from cooperative witnesses, police say they were able to arrest Deal. Rochester Police were monitoring Deal when he left in a vehicle. They followed and arrested him during a traffic stop.

Police say Deal admitted to meeting up with Miner, but did not confess to selling him drugs.

Deal is being held on $150,000 bail, with half of that being unconditional.
