(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Joe Aase wanted to play D-I basketball, and committed to Davidson a year and a half ago.

Now, he's coming back to Minnesota.

Aase has decided to transfer to MSU-Mankato, after playing in 24 games for the Wildcats last season.

Location and time commitment caused Aase to leave Davidson after one year.

MSU-Mankato was the first school to offer Aase a scholarship during his junior year of high school.
