(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Police in Mankato are issuing a warning following the deaths of two young people, with a designer drug linked to each.

A 22-year-old man and 17-year-old female both died in the last week in separate incidents. While the deaths happened on different days at different places, officers at each scene found a similar blue baggie with images of gold colored crowns.

Investigators say the baggies may have contained a pill or powder, possibly synthetic LSD or synthetic cocaine, commonly called “2-C.”

Police are now asking anyone familiar with the substance to call 911, as they fear the deadly potential of the drug.
