UPDATE: Saturday Evening Power Outage

(ABC 6 News) -- Utility companies have been working hard all day today to restore power back to residents.

A big difference from 1:00 pm this afternoon.  Although, there are still a some who don't have power.

Here is the updated report for power outages as of 11:00 pm today:

Rochester Public Utilities still has around 300 customers (this is from an earlier report) without power but crews are working on repairs. 

People's Energy Cooperative out of Oronoco which serves Dodge, Fillmore, Olmsted, Winona, Mower and Wabasha counties is reporting 100% power restoration from 200 from this morning.

Alliant Energy is reporting 11 power outages from about 173 this morning.

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services is still reporting 400 power outages (according to an automated voicemail) but have been working on restoring power today.

Austin Utilities all power outages have been resolved.

Xcel Energy reporting 21 outages but is continuing to work to resolve all issues.

(ABC 6 News) -- Several hundred people still remain without power Saturday afternoon.  Some utility companies in the area pulled out their crews last night to give them a break.  But most are back to work restoring power to a lot of people's homes today.

Here are the numbers1:00 pm Saturday:  

Rochester Public Utilities still has around 300 customers without power but crews are working on repairs.

People's Energy Cooperative out of Oronoco which serves Dodge, Fillmore, Olmsted, Winona, Mower and Wabasha counties is reporting 177 power outages, down from 200 a few hours ago. Their crews are back working today.

Alliant Energy is reporting 37 power outages left from abou 173 this morning.

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services is still reporting 400 power outages but have been working on restoring power today.

(ABC 6 News) -- Several hundred people remain with power Saturday following one of the strongest winter storms we've seen in decades.

Rochester Public Utilities has around 300 customers without power as of this morning, but says all of its crews are out working on repairs.

People's Energy Cooperative is resuming line repairs this morning, with about 200 customers who were left without power last night.

Alliant Energy has 173 customers in north Iowa without power, and expected repairs to be completed soon.

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services reported as of 9am Saturday, it had 400 members without power. As we've been reporting, many rural areas are very difficult to access due to the blizzard.

Xcel Energy is reporting fewer than 10 outages in the areas served in southeast Minnesota.

Austin Utilities had no outages as of Friday, it was able to make repairs as the outages were reported Thursday.
