(ABC 6 News) -- Mothers Against Drunk Driving recently graded states on their efforts to curb drunk driving in its Report to the Nation. Minnesota and Iowa both received 2 out of 5 stars. It made similar recommendations to both states to expand ignition interlock programs.
The organization also suggests Minnesota allow sobriety checkpoints, which are currently illegal in the state.
Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia each received five out of five stars. Rhode Island and Montana fared the worst with only a one star rating.
