(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Kasson-Mantorville heavyweight Sam Stoll is one of the top wrestling prospects in the nation, but he already knows where his future will take him.
"I'm kind of relaxed now that it's over. One of the big reasons I chose Iowa is because of the crazy atmosphere," Stoll said. "There's a bunch of crazy wrestling fans down there."
The Hawkeyes are getting someone who's already won a state title in another wrestling-crazy state.
"As a youth wrestler, you have to step in here and you gotta win and you gotta hate to lose," K-M coach Jamie said. "That's Sam Stoll, whether it's in competition, whether it's in practice, and not only competition as far as winning but as far as dominating. That's where he wants to be, and he doesn't settle for anything less."
It's not surprising to hear that Stoll began his wrestling career in the early days of grade school.
"I think I won a youth tournament state event in second grade," Stoll said. "That's when I started really picking it up and falling in love with the sport."
"He's been a pillar on this program for a number of years, and our motto is 'All in.' And when we're all in, not only do we want to win individual titles, but we want to make sure we win those team titles, also," Heidt said.
For Stoll's part, he has his individual goal of winning state again, but he really wants to lead the Komets to back-to-back team championships.
"I'm all about the team," Stoll said. "I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure this team gets to where we think we can be."
