TORONTO (AP) — A rough-sounding Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has cast his ballot in advance of the Oct. 27 mayoral election.

Ford, coming off his second round of chemotherapy treatment for a rare form of cancer, said Tuesday he wanted to support his brother's bid for the mayor's job.

Rob Ford pulled out of the race last month and his brother Doug, a city councilor, is running in his place. Rob, straining to speak, says he's tired and not "very good." He returns for another round of chemotherapy on Oct. 29.

Rob Ford is still running for his old council seat. The 45-year-old has been engulfed in controversy since the Toronto Star and the U.S. website Gawker last year reported the existence of a video showing him inhaling from a crack pipe.
