Owatonna wins Class 5A State Championship.

(ABC-NEWS)--After falling short in last year’s state championship game, the Owatonna Huskies earned their first ever state title with a 24-0 win over Brainerd on Saturday evening.

Running back Aaron Peterson had a huge game for the Huskies. He ran for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the Class 5A Championship.

The win capped off a perfect (13-0) season for the Huskies.

Quarterback Ian Langeberg threw for 136 yards for.

Third-ranked Brainers was led by Conor Gessell. He rushed for 71 yards.

This was the final prep bowl game ever to be played in the Metrodome.
