(ABC 6 News) -- An Eyota man was killed and several others injured in a fatal accident near Chester Woods park Monday evening.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. According to State Patrol 32-year-old Dustin Schultz of Eyota was driving east on Highway 14 when it crossed the centerline and struck another car head on.
Schultz was killed and three others in the car, including a young child, suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
The road was closed for a few hours and drivers were re-routed in both directions.
It's unclear what caused Schultz to cross over the centerline.
State Patrol, Olmsted County Sheriff, Dover-Eyota Fire and Ambulance, Mayo One and Gold Cross responded to an accident.
