(ABC 6 NEWS) -- "We have a lot of fun out there," Hayfield senior Jessie Foster said.
If Foster is good at one thing, it's setting up her teammates.
"She really is the sparkplug. She just commands the offense. She's running, telling hitters what to run for hits. She sees the court well," Jeremy Struck said.
Over the last week, Foster has put up her usual numbers of double digit assists.
Last week, she had 11 against Lake City, to go along with five digs, five kills and six blocks, and then on Saturday, she helped the Vikings win the title at the Century invitational with 10 assists.
"The thing I like the most is the aggressiveness and having fun with my players out there. I've been with them since fifth grade, so they're easy to play with," Foster said.
So is Foster.
Not only is she leading the team in assists, but her coach says she is leaving the program in a better place.
"When we're down, or we're doing something that we shouldn't be, she'll pull everyone together and it calms everybody down. She's a great leader," Struck said.
Her goal is to lead the team to state, especially in this, her senior year.
"We want to make it to state. I want to make it there. That's our goal," Foster said.
