36 year old Aaron Harris will spend the rest of his life in prison after hearing his sentence handed down Friday morning.
Harris was in Cerro Gordo County District Court today following his conviction in the strangulation death of Sarah Winters.
Winters and Harris lived in the same Mason City boarding house when the murder occurred July 10th of last year.
Under Iowa law Harris got a mandatory life sentence, with no chance of parole.
A motion for a new trial was requested by Harris' lawyer and denied by Judge Rustin Davenport.
