A plan for a $400 million office and condo development next to the new Vikings stadium will take another step forward.
The Minneapolis City Council unanimously voted to begin negotiations with developer Ryan Companies. The plan includes a downtown park called The Yard, but the company’s current plan comes with plenty of questions. It includes a parking ramp, land, and development of two parks, all of which will be paid for by the city.
There is a provision in the agreement that allows Ryan Companies to buy and develop the land at its current price, a much lower value than the land will be worth after the new Vikings Stadium is finished. View our previous coverage here.
Most of the food you've enjoyed at the Metrodome, will likely be found at the new stadium.
The Sports Facilities Authority says it has started negotiating with Aramark to make the company its concessionaire. The Philadelphia-based company already works at the Dome, TCF Bank Stadium and many schools.
