No one was seriously injured after an explosion at a home in South Minneapolis.

Fire crews responded to a house fire call on the 4200 block of 26th Avenue South on Sunday morning.

Neighbors said they heard an explosion that knocked out the windows. An older woman escaped the home with minor injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

When firefighters arrived there was smoke coming from the home. They believe the fire began in the basement, which had old ammunition stored inside. It's still under investigation as to whether any ammunition went off.

Due to the amount of possessions inside the home, firefighters say the blaze was not easy to put out.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
