Tim Walz Sends Letter to Health Care Provider About Treatment of Military Members

(ABC 6 NEWS)-- Congressman Tim Walz is asking for answers from a Minnesota Health Care provider about how it's treating military members.  The assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs criticized UnitedHealth's $20-billion TRICARE program for troops.  In a letter to UnitedHealth CEO Stephen Helmsley, Walz is asking United to address delays for authorizing specialty care and improving wait times at call centers.  Walz also wrote "Our veterans deserve the best health care in the world and it's absolutely critical that UnitedHealth is able to provide it to them."  UnitedHealth has yet to respond.
