Fatis suspension reduced
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Apparently, the 'Free Fatis' campaign worked.
Ice Hawks head coach Nick Fatis received word from the Minnesota Junior Hockey League this week that his six-game suspension has been reduced to three.
Fatis has already missed two games, and will sit out Saturday's regular season finale before returning for the playoffs.
The long-time head coach was originally suspended for an incident against Hudson Feb. 2.
Hawks supporters began a campaign to get the suspension reduced, which included bringing signs to games with the words 'Free Fatis.'
