Woman Receives 4 Speeding Tickets in One Day
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- An Alabama woman was ticketed four different times in a matter hours for speeding as fast as 112 mph on Interstate 90 across southern Minnesota.
A Minnesota trooper first stopped the 49-year-old woman in Martin County at 2:25 p.m. last Friday after dispatchers received two separate complaints of a vehicle speeding and weaving in-and-out of traffic on I-90. The driver was ticketed for speeding, having no insurance, and possession of marijuana.
20 miles down the interstate another trooper clocked the woman going 99 mph. She received another ticket and was warned to slow down. Authorities say she didn't.
After the second speeding ticket was issued, a call was put out to Minnesota troopers and the Wisconsin State Patrol to be on the lookout for the woman.
About an hour and 10 minutes later, another trooper caught the woman driving 88 mph in Freeborn County. She was given a third ticket and sent on her way.
She was then stopped a fourth time driving 88 mph in a 70 mph zone just before the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.
The driver faces more than $500 in fines and an increase in insurance costs.
