Vikings GM: 'No issues' with Harvin
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman says the organization has no concerns about Percy Harvin's character or attitude, with a pivotal offseason ahead for the wide receiver's future with the Vikings.
Spielman told reporters Thursday the team has "no issues" with Harvin, that he "plays the game as hard, or harder, than anyone else in the NFL." Harvin is entering the final year of his rookie contract. His season ended after nine games because of a badly sprained left ankle.
The Vikings placed him on injured reserve one month after he was hurt, and Harvin went home to Florida for his rehabilitation. The team downplayed his absence. Harvin made waves last summer when he expressed unhappiness with the organization and requested a trade.
