Poll: Support Slips for Minn. Voter ID Amendment
An exclusive new poll shows support is slipping in Minnesota for the voter ID amendment.
According to the KSTP/SurveyUSA poll, 53 percent of people surveyed said they would vote for the amendment. That's down from 62 percent last month. 40 percent said no and 7 percent are undecided. The margin of error is +/- 4.3 percent.
Today the Minnesota Council of Churches came out against the amendment, saying it would create barriers for poor people to vote.
Supporters of the amendment say it would prevent voter fraud.
