Email to a FriendAlliance of Peacemakers Talk About Israel and Palestine
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Israel was also the topic of discussion at the Rochester public library Sunday.
The southeast Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers held a discussion on working for justice between Israelis and Palestinians.
A speaker from Minnesota Break the Bond came in and spoke about what they feel is an injustice that is being done to Palestinians at the hands of Israelis.
Minnesota Break the Bond's goal is to put pressure on law makers to stop funding Israel's actions.
"It's important that Minnesotans understand what their money is going towards and that's illegal and immoral and that we need to get the word out to as many Minnesotans and Americans as possible," said speaker Slyvia Schwartz.
The group says Minnesota investment in Israeli bonds helps fund illegal separation walls and illegal settlements.
