Child Hospitalized after Hit by Car in Minneapolis

A child is hospitalized after being hit by a car in Minneapolis Sunday night. Police say it happened just before 7 p.m. near 11th Avenue South and East 26th Street.

They say paramedics performed CPR on the child, who was then transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Police have not released many details about the accident, including the child's name, gender or condition.

They do say the driver is cooperating with police.
