Bryn Mawr Residents Shaken; Mourning Shooting Victims

Bryn Mawr residents are mourning those killed in Thursday's attack at a Minneapolis sign-making business.

Susan Taft made a memorial right outside her door for UPS driver Keith Basinski. He was one of five people shot and killed Thursday afternoon at Accent Signage Systems, which is just down the block from Taft. She says, she new him well.

"It's like a death in the family. You will heal, the days will come when you don't think about it," Taft said.

On the Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association website it says, "the neighborhood is characterized by its long time stability and quietude."

All of that was shattered Thursday afternoon when cops rushed to Accent Signage Systems after Andrew Engledinger opened fire after being told he was fired.

Residents here are in shock.

"It's terrible, I can't believe something can happen in a neighborhood like this," resident Tajsha Sole said.

The shooting has shaken this rather eclectic neighborhood to its core.

Taft says, she is not sure how her community will respond.

"We're changed, we're going to have a sad place right here," Taft said.
