Worker Seriously Injured in Auger Accident in Northern Minn.

A worker was seriously injured when he got stuck in an auger at a northern Minnesota saw mill Tuesday.

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a report of a worker being stuck in an auger around 2 p.m. at Hedblad Saw Mill in Kelliher. When they arrived, he was already freed from the auger and was receiving first aid for serious injuries to his extremities and torso.

The worker has not been identified.

Emergency crews from Kelliher and North Ambulance Life Flight Helicopter also responded to the scene.

No further details were immediately available.
