Showcase performance okay for Bruins
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- It wasn't great, and it wasn't terrible. That's how the Austin Bruins summed up last week's Showcase Tournament.
The Bruins won two and lost two, and head coach Chris Tok was happy with the goaltending.
"We did a good job of not allowing goals into our net, for the most part," Tok said. "There weren't too many soft goals by our goaltender."
Austin's next game is also its home opener. Coulee Region visits Riverside Sept. 29.
"We've got a lot of stuff to work on, but being .500 moving into the season is a pretty good way to start," Tok said.
