Police Think Latest Sexual Assault May Be Connected to Others

(ABC 6 News) -- Just after 11:00 P.M. on Wednesday, Rochester police responded to a call of sexual assault on the 1200 block of West Center Street.

A female victim reported she was physically and sexually assaulted by an intruder who entered her unlocked residence.

The suspect fled the scene after the victim began screaming and yelling, alerting neighbors.

Over the course of the past 4 months, 4 incidents with similarities. All the assaults occurred in the neighborhood or area bordered by the following: St. Mary's Hospital on the south (2nd St. SW), Highway 52 on the west, Kutzky Park on the north, and 6th Ave on the east.

All four incidents describe the suspect as light skinned black male between the age of 20 and 30, height of 5'6" to 5'10", with average build.

Police would like residence to lock and secure their residences and be on alert of their surroundings. They are also seeking public assistance with information regarding possible suspects.
