(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The newest Golden Gophers Athletic Director had a chance to take in some of southern Minnesota Monday.
Norwood Teague spoke to the Rochester Quarterbacks Club at Michaels restaurant, and while he's only been on the job a couple months, Teague already has a vision for the future of Gopher athletics.
"I do think we are at a great point as an athletic department," Teague said. "I have been branded, for better or for worse, as a fundraising AD, and building our budget is certainly going to be big going forward."
Teague said he also hopes to help build a new practice facility for the Gophers basketball team, as well as new offices for the football program.
