Austin High School Announces New Assistant Principal

(ABC 6 News) -- Austin High School has a new assistant principal.

Andrea Malo will replace Jason Senne who moved to Ellis Middle School as principal.

Malo has been with Austin Public Schools since 1998 as a social studies teacher at Austin High School. During her fourteen years she has served as student council advisor every year and as a department chair for several years.

Malo and fellow teacher Lisa Glynn were the founders of the annual 9th grade Honors History trip to Washington DC.

Malo will be responsible for the 11th and 12th grade students and other high school duties.
