Beverages meet your summer hydration needs:
Refreshing
For adults, one gulp of liquid (when you swallow) is equivalent to one ounce of fluid. Keep up on fluids by drinking at least 8 ounces per hour, if not more, based on what you are doing.
Cooling
Having adequate water in our bodies allows our bodies to be efficient at cooling our body temperature.
Hydrating
Men need 3 L of water or other non-caffeinated beverages per day. Women need 2 L. This level increases even further if you are working outside. How to tell if you are hydrated? Do a urine check – if it looks like a tea or apple juice color, you are dehydrated.
Options
There are tasty options that don’t have to contain a lot of calories: Sparkling Ice, Coconut Water and Inkos Tea
