Flood Soaks Minnesota Ballet Theatre Sets, Drops

The flood in Duluth soaked hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of theatre drops and sets belonging to the Minnesota ballet.

Volunteers hung the drops at the Duluth Events and Convention Center theatre Wednesday, hoping to dry them out. Each is hand painted on canvass and would take months, if not longer, to repaint.

They were stored in a basement room of the building that flooded with six inches of water.
